Five more countries join the Electronic Warfare Coalition

Five more countries — Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Turkey, and Estonia — have officially joined the Coalition of Electronic Warfare. About this reported Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov.

“Another important result of the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine is the expansion of the Radio Electronic Warfare Coalition (ERW). Five more countries – Belgium, Sweden, Italy, Turkey and Estonia – have officially joined the initiative, signing the corresponding addendum to the Letter of Intent.” – said Umerov.

He reminded that the creation of the EW Coalition was initiated in April this year by Ukraine, Germany and eight partner states.

“Germany, as the leader of the coalition, has already created a financial mechanism for the procurement of equipment and services in the field of EW. Everything is for their operational transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as international military aid.” – emphasized the minister.

He also emphasized that “radio-electronic warfare is one of the key capabilities of modern warfare, which allows destroying, jamming and outpacing the enemy by one step.”

“We expect that new partners will join the coalition. We are grateful to Germany for its leadership, system and pace. A strong coalition is a strong Ukraine and Europe.”, – summed up Rustem Umyerov.
