The New York Times calls on Biden to withdraw from the election for a second term

The New York Times urged US President Joe Biden not to run for a second term after a failed debate with former President Donald Trump. The publication believes that after these debates, it became clear that “Biden is no longer the person he was four years ago,” when he was already trying to defeat Trump.

This is stated in newspaper special reports.

According to the newspaper, during this year’s debates, Biden “tried hard” to expose the ex-president, but sometimes he spoke meaninglessly. The newspaper expressed surprise that it was Biden who invited Trump to the debate on his own terms, but he “lost on his own terms.” The editors believe that the best service to voters now would be if Biden “announces that he will no longer be a candidate.” The paper emphasized that Democrats have better leaders who can offer clear, compelling and energetic alternatives to a second Trump presidency.

We will remind that the first presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump took place in the USA. They led to an almost 13% increase in the shares of ex-president companies due to the unsuccessful speech of Biden. Biden himself admitted that his performance at the debate was weak, but emphasized his confidence in his policy proposals.
