The US Department of Defence announces the last aid package for Ukraine under Biden
On January 9, during the Ramstein meeting, the US Defense Minister announced a new military aid package for Ukraine in the amount of $500 million. About this was stated during his joint conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“Here in Ramstein, I am determined to do everything I can to help Ukraine live in conditions of freedom and security — and to create a fairer and more dignified world. And our joint work must continue.” – emphasized Austin.
The minister reminded that a number of countries have already confirmed their intention to provide aid to Ukraine in 2025, after which he announced the allocation of an additional $500 million package by the United States. This package includes missiles to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system, ammunition, air-to-surface missiles, as well as other equipment necessary to support the operation of Ukrainian F-16s.
“Our work together must continue. The Ukrainian struggle is important for all of us. As I said at the first Ramstein, everyone is responsible for ensuring that imperial aggression does not overcome the freedom and sovereignty of the nation.”, – stressed Austin.
