Голова Міжнародного агентства з атомної енергії (МАГАТЕ) Рафаель Гроссі розпочав свій 11-й візит до України. У межах поїздки він відвідав електропідстанцію “Київська”. “Під час мого 11-го візиту до України з початку війни я вирушаю на Київську підстанцію, критично важливу для безпеки ядерної енергетики України, щоб оцінити пошкодження та допомогти запобігти ядерній аварії”, – зазначив Гроссі. Він наголосив, що нестабільність електромережі створює дедалі більшу загрозу як для Запорізької АЕС, так і для всіх інших атомних електростанцій України. Пізніше Гроссі повідомив, що вже побував на об’єкті та підкреслив його значення для енергосистеми країни. “Ядерна аварія може статися внаслідок прямого нападу на станцію, а також через перебої в електропостачанні. Міжнародне агентство з атомної енергії тут для того, щоб оцінити наслідки, підтримати та допомогти запобігти цьому ризику”, – підкреслив Голова МАГАТЕ.
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi began his 11th visit to Ukraine. Within the trip he visited power station “Kyivska”.
“On my 11th visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, I am going to the Kyiv substation, critical to the safety of Ukraine’s nuclear power industry, to assess the damage and help prevent a nuclear accident.”Grossi noted.
He emphasized that the instability of the power grid poses an increasing threat both to the Zaporizhzhia NPP and to all other nuclear power plants of Ukraine. Later, Grossi said that he had already visited the facility and emphasized its importance for the country’s energy system.
“A nuclear accident can occur from a direct attack on the plant, as well as from power outages. The International Atomic Energy Agency is here to assess the consequences, support and help prevent this risk.”, – emphasized the Head of the IAEA.
