Ukraine is becoming a leader in the development of EW and drones, ahead of Russia: Forbes

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost its dominance in the field of military drones and electronic warfare (EW). As notes Forbes, Ukraine has become a new leader in these critical technological areas, particularly at the tactical level of application.
According to the publication, the industrial bases of both countries are actively competing for the development of innovative solutions that can give their troops an advantage on the battlefield. However, Ukraine was able to quickly implement the latest technologies, which allowed it to achieve significant success in the field of drones and EW.
“This is especially true of unmanned aerial vehicles and electronic warfare systems, which during the war developed at an extremely fast pace. Ukraine was able to overtake Russia in these processes, which allowed it to deploy more effective systems and achieve superiority in these key areas.”, — writes Forbes.
Analysts note that the recent successes of Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region demonstrate Kyiv’s advantages in these technologies. Ukrainian forces use EW systems to neutralize Russian drones and then deploy their own swarms of drones to seek out and destroy enemy positions. After that, ground troops arrive at the scene of hostilities and consolidate the positions achieved. This tactic, which is applied systematically, ensures stable successes of the Ukrainian troops, to which the Russian forces cannot yet find an effective response.
