Ukraine launches business literacy program for women affected by the war

The second wave of the “Dream and Achieve” educational program is starting in Ukraine, which aims to help women affected by the war to acquire the necessary knowledge to create and promote their own business in the online environment, as well as to transfer offline businesses to a digital format. About this reported Ministry of Reintegration.

The program is implemented by the public organization Impact Force in cooperation with UN Women, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Export, as well as the national project Diya.Business. The initiative is funded by the governments of Iceland and France.

Women over the age of 18 who have suffered from the consequences of war can take part in the program. Such categories include internally displaced persons (IDPs), single mothers, veterans and representatives of other vulnerable groups who have lost their sources of income or are at risk of losing them. The program places a special emphasis on supporting women from the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine, which were the most affected by the hostilities.

Participants who successfully pass the selection will have the opportunity to undergo a three-month training, which includes 13 intensive online modules. Learning topics cover digital marketing, business strategies and other aspects of doing business in today’s environment. After completing the course, participants will be able to receive $1,000 worth of vouchers to start or grow their business.
