Building on the success of the 2024 Digital Skills for Education program, which has helped more than 23,000 educators improve their skills, Google is launching a new AI Academy for Educators program to teach teachers how to effectively use AI tools in their daily work. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, registration open on the program page.
The online course will last six weeks and will start on April 7 at 6:00 p.m. The program was developed by Google together with Beetroot Academy, focusing on the use of AI in the Ukrainian education system — from basic knowledge to practical application and ethical aspects.
Participants will study in three areas depending on the level of education. For preschool education, educators will master AI tools that contribute to the development of children’s creativity and allow the introduction of an individual approach.
For general secondary education, teachers will learn how AI helps reduce workload, create engaging lessons and improve student outcomes. For professional pre-university and higher education, teachers will familiarize themselves with the latest tools for scientific work and discuss the ethical issues of using generative AI.
Participants will be able to attend trainings live or view recordings, will gain practical skills for implementing AI in teaching, learn to build a safe educational process using artificial intelligence, and see examples of automation of routine tasks.
Everyone who completes the training will receive an official certificate. The program provides interactive tasks, the opportunity to communicate with experts live and access to a professional community of educators to share experiences. Participants will also have a chance to take part in a prize draw.
