The Security Service of Ukraine exposed an FSB agent who worked for the State Space Agency. He was detained during a meeting at the Ministry of Strategic Industry, informs SBU press office.
With the assistance of the Minister of Strategic Industries, the SBU exposed another high-ranking official who worked for Russian intelligence. He turned out to be an official of the State Space Agency, who had access to secret information about strategic enterprises of Ukraine and secret satellite images.
Counterintelligence and SBU investigators detained the traitor simply during a meeting at the Ministry. According to the case file, he was recruited by the FSB in 2024. Since then, Ukrainian special services have carefully documented all his actions and contacts with Russian curators. In addition, the SBU used it to misinform the enemy, transmitting information beneficial to Ukraine through it.
The investigation established that the agent agreed to work for the Russian special service through his wife, who lives in Rostov-on-Don and cooperates with the occupiers. He received money for his activities, and after retiring in the summer of 2025, he planned to move to the Russian Federation.
His tasks included the collection and transmission of classified information, which he received within the scope of his official duties. In particular, these were data on the location of objects of the military-industrial complex, enterprises that manufacture navigation systems, strategic military warehouses, as well as information on Ukraine’s production of high-precision weapons and satellite images.
During the search, a mobile phone was found in the detainee’s possession, which contained anonymous chats in messengers and e-mails used to communicate with Russian curators. On the basis of the collected evidence, SBU investigators informed him of the suspicion under part. 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – treason committed under martial law.
