Britain has announced an increase in military aid to Ukraine by £500 million (US$617 million), Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced. This is the largest package of military aid that Britain has ever provided to Ukraine.
This was stated by the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak, the Office reports the prime minister.
Sunak announced this decision during a visit to Poland, where he met with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. This is Sunak’s first international trip in the last few months.
The new assistance package includes:
- 60 boats, including raiding and diving boats, as well as naval guns;
- Over 1,600 attack and anti-aircraft missiles, as well as additional long-range Storm Shadow missiles;
- More than 400 pieces of equipment, including 160 Husky BMPs, 162 armored vehicles and 78 all-terrain vehicles;
- Almost 4 million small arms ammunition.
