In the Chernivtsi region, conscripted men, detained while attempting to cross the border illegally, will be delivered directly to the territorial recruiting centers. This is possible if the person is wanted by the National Police.
About this reported head of the Chernivtsi border detachment Ihor Zarudnev, this innovation is provided for by the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution on conscription for military service.
“Previously, for all offenders who tried to illegally cross the border, employees drew up a report on administrative violations and sent them to the court, which decided what punishment to choose. Now it is clearly stated that if a person is wanted “on the lines of the TCC”, the border guards will hand him over to the police, and the police will deliver him directly to the TCC“, Zarudnev explained.
According to him, communication between border guards and employees of the TCC improved after the adoption of the new law on mobilization on May 18.
