The importance of posthumous donation

“Your consent to posthumous donation can be very important for saving lives”, – emphasized the Ministry of Health, addressing Ukrainians.

Important news about transplantation

On April 2, in Dnipro, a 15-year-old girl received a kidney transplant from her mother for the first time in the region.

Last fall, a bone marrow transplant from one child to another was performed in Cherkasy for the first time. Her younger brother became the donor for the girl.

Also last year, a 1-year-old boy from Mykolaiv named Dmytro underwent a bone marrow transplant at the capital’s “Okhmatdyt” hospital. To save the child, hematopoietic cells were delivered from across the ocean. These achievements emphasize the importance of the development of transplantation medicine in Ukraine and the role of donation in saving human lives.
