In Kharkiv, a Russian agent network consisting of ex-Berkut officers was exposed: the prosecutor’s office

In Kharkiv, law enforcement officers exposed an agent network that worked for the Russian special services and transmitted information about the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Among the detainees are two former employees of the disbanded Berkut special unit and the wife of one of them.
As reported the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, suspected residents of Kharkiv collected data on the location of Ukrainian military personnel and equipment in the city. They passed this information to the Russian curators through messengers. Their actions were aimed at helping the enemy to attack the personnel of Ukrainian troops and destroy equipment, which was aimed at weakening the defense of Kharkiv.
In addition, the criminals set up caches with live grenades on the outskirts of the city, in particular in the forest belt. These stocks were intended to support sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the event of their breakthrough to the city.
The three detainees were informed of the suspicion of treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). During the searches, a cache of grenades was found in the apartment of one of the detainees, due to which he is additionally charged with illegal acquisition, carrying and storage of explosive devices (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The court chose a preventive measure for all three in the form of detention without bail. Law enforcement officers are continuing their investigation to identify possible accomplices of the detainees.
