From January 1, 2025, Ukrposhta will introduce a new tariff system for parcel delivery, according to which the price will be determined depending on the volume, and not on the weight. About this reported general director of the company Ihor Smilyanskyi.
“For the first time in the history of Ukrposhta, we are abandoning tariffs that depend on weight. So we will have “non-weight” tariffs”, Smilyansky noted.
He added that this approach will make tariffs more accessible, convenient and fairer. At the same time, the basic tariff will remain at a level that is 50% lower than competitors, and the “Priority” tariff will ensure faster delivery.
The cost of delivery will be fixed, it can be calculated using standard Ukrposhta boxes or own packaging.
“We’ll have eight sizes at rates. So you only pay for the volume you ship.” – added Smilyanskyi.
In order to control the integrity of the parcel, it will be necessary to indicate its weight when sending. Smilyansky clarified that the delivery of non-standard parcels will remain possible, but for an additional fee of UAH 50 for manual processing.
