In the Rostov region of Russia, a train station caught fire due to a drone attack

In the village of Kamenolomni, in the Rostov region of Russia, a fire broke out on the roof of the railway station building due to the fall of the wreckage of the drone. This was reported by acting Governor Yuriy Slyusar.

According to him, Russian air defense allegedly shot down drones over the cities of Novoshakhtinsk, Shakhty and Novocherkassk. Debris of one of them caused a flower shop in Kamenolomny to catch fire. Local mass media note that a large railway station is located in this settlement, which is of strategic importance in the southern direction.

“In the village of Kamenolomni, Zhovtnevy rural district, the roof of the railway station buildings caught fire due to the fall of the debris of the drone. 3 people were evacuated from the control room. According to preliminary data, none of the people were injured.” – said Slyusar.

Russian mass media report that the railway section in the area of this urban-type settlement is used for the transportation of military cargo, which is later transferred to Ukraine.

“Kamenolomni is another major junction railway station on the southbound route”, – says the message.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated that during the night the air defense forces allegedly destroyed 74 drones over several regions of the country.
