Musk called the bill signed by Trump a “disgusting abomination”
Billionaire Elon Musk is sharp criticized the tax and spending bill signed by US President Donald Trump. According to Musk, he can no longer remain silent, calling the document a “disgusting abomination.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t take it anymore. This huge, outrageous, spendthrift congressional budget bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: You know you did wrong. You know it.”, – the billionaire wrote.
His criticism came just days after Musk, the former head of DOGE, left the Trump administration. The Tesla CEO has long viewed the U.S. national debt as an existential threat, but has previously refrained from harshly speaking out against Trump’s bill, which he believes is contributing to the growing budget deficit.
Subsequently, Musk added on the social network:
“This will significantly increase the already gigantic budget deficit to 2.5 trillion dollars and burden the American citizens with an unbearable debt. Next November, we will fire all the politicians who have betrayed the American people.”
At the same time, the press secretary of the White House reacted to the situation, voicing the position of President Donald Trump:
“Look, the president already knows Elon Musk’s position on this bill. It’s not the president’s immediate opinion — it’s a big, beautiful bill, and he’s sticking to it.”
In turn, the speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, described Musk’s statement as “extremely disappointing.”
