In Ukraine, 5G was launched in test mode for the first time – the first call was made

Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported on testing the fifth generation network in Ukraine. Today, May 27, the first 5G call was made between Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv and Helsinki.
The “Promprylad” innovation center in Ivano-Frankivsk, the Vodafone office in Kyiv and the Nokia office in Helsinki took part in the test call. According to the minister, the quality of communication was excellent.
“This is an important step towards the implementation of 5G in Ukraine“, Fedorov emphasized, thanking partners Vodafone and Nokia for their cooperation.
The minister expressed hope that 5G technology will be scaled up in Ukraine in the near future, despite the war. He emphasized the importance of the development of innovations and Ukraine’s desire to catch up with the world’s leading countries in the field of telecommunications.
