In Ukraine, veterans began to be trained in mine action

The operator of anti-mine activity “Sheriff demining” started to conduct training for veterans. About this informs Ministry of Economy.
The courses will be held in Kyiv in face-to-face format and will last 10 weeks. The first group of trainees has already started training, and further plans include the recruitment of another group.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a state certificate of demining, as well as assistance in finding employment. Involvement of vulnerable groups, in particular veterans, in work in the field of mine action is one of the tasks of the National Mine Action Strategy until 2033.
We will remind that last year the Ministry of Economy together with UNDP organized two training courses for veterans with disabilities, focused on data analysis and working with demining machines. According to the ministry, more than half of the graduates of these courses found employment in the field of mine action, in particular, in international organizations engaged in demining.
