Kyiv authorities will spend 1.2 billion hryvnias to complete the construction of the Podilskyi Bridge

The municipal enterprise “Directorate of Construction of Road and Transport Facilities of the City of Kyiv” concluded a contract with the “Avtostrada Group of Companies” LLC, which is associated with Maxim Shkil, for the completion of the construction of the Podilsk bridge over the Dnipro in the capital. The contract amount is 1.2 billion hryvnias. informs Prozorro system.

As part of the project, it is planned to complete the remaining works on the section from Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street to Petra Vershigory Street. According to the terms of the agreement, the main construction stages, including asphalting and installation of temporary lighting, should be completed in the fall. The full completion of the works, including the installation of substations and the laying of electrical networks, is planned for May 2026.

Most of the items in the estimate correspond to the market level. However, ordinary natural sand is laid at a price of UAH 541 including VAT per ton, which is significantly higher than the market value. For comparison, the “Express-Techbud” company offers similar sand for UAH 270, subject to an order of 30 tons. 68,000 tons of sand are needed to complete the construction of the bridge. Separately, the cost of sand delivery is indicated in the estimate — UAH 347 per cubic meter. Thus, more than 23 million hryvnias are expected to be spent on logistics alone.

Roman Lisnevskyi, director of the KP “Directorate of Construction of Road and Transport Facilities in Kyiv”, estimated the total cost of the Podilsky Bridge at 19.9 billion hryvnias as of 2021.
