Rescuers from different regions were trained in the Kyiv metro

Rescuers from different regions of Ukraine took part in large-scale fire-tactical exercises held in the Kyiv metro. About this reported State service for emergency situations.
Specialists from Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kharkiv regions, representatives of the State Militarized Mountain Rescue Squad, as well as students of educational institutions in Lviv and Cherkasy, who are preparing to become rescuers, took part in the training, organized at a high professional level.
According to the training scenario, an emergency situation arose in the tunnel between the depot and the station: a short circuit caused a fire in the train car. The event was accompanied by heavy smoke, victims and panic among passengers, creating the most realistic conditions for rescue operations.
Training took place in several stages. Rescue departments quickly extinguished the fire in conditions of limited visibility, taming the flames in the smoky wagon. The injured were promptly evacuated: two people were carried out on stretchers and handed over to medics for emergency care. The evacuation of passengers was also successfully organized, and they were quickly taken out of the danger zone.
According to an additional scenario, one person tried to leave the scene on his own, but ended up under the car. Thanks to the coordinated work and high skill of the rescuers of the mining rescue unit, the victim was quickly unblocked, demonstrating a professional level of actions in critical conditions.
