Last year, the number of millionaires in the US increased by an average of 1,000 people every day. According to the UBS Global Wealth Report 2025, the United States has become the leader among all countries in the world in terms of the rate of growth of millionaires, informs CNBC.
China took second place, where 380 new millionaires were added every day. The total number of individuals with between $1 million and $5 million in assets has reached about 52 million worldwide.
The main factor in the growth of capital is the increase in the value of real estate. For example, in Australia more than half of the national wealth (53%) is in real estate, in Great Britain – 42%. In the US, the largest share of wealth consists of financial instruments, in particular stocks and other securities (37%), while real estate accounts for 30%.
Another notable trend is the increase in the number of Americans who have more than a million dollars in their retirement accounts. At the end of the third quarter of 2024, there were already 544,000 such investors, which is a 10% increase compared to the previous quarter.
In Ukraine, in the first two months of 2025, 3,186 people submitted income declarations exceeding 1 million hryvnias. The total amount of declared funds amounted to 21.8 billion hryvnias.
