Liquefied gas prices have decreased in Ukraine

The price of liquefied gas in Ukraine decreased by UAH 750/t and is UAH 52,640/t. About this informs profile publication enkorr.

Prices have effectively returned to their average levels as of June 18, when gas prices spiked amid fears of a possible shortage. At that time, at the auction of the Ukrainian Energy Exchange (UEB), some lots were sold for UAH 55,000/t.

However, according to traders, the current prices have fallen even below the pre-crisis level, considering the fact that in recent days the increase in the exchange rate has added approximately UAH 200/t to the cost of imported LPG.

At the UEB auction on June 25, the weighted average price of liquefied gas fell even more significantly — by UAH 1,507/t, to UAH 51,727/t. The bidding started only after the starting prices were reduced from the range of UAH 52,880–53,668/t to UAH 51,500/t. Gas from Ukrnafta was offered at UAH 51,010–53,200/t, from Ukrgazvydobuvannya at UAH 50,500–52,500/t. In total, about 2.7 thousand were exhibited. tons of fuel, but five lots (95 tons) remained unsold.

Activity at auctions of private manufacturers was also low. The main reason for the decrease in prices is considered by the company to have increased demand a week ago.

“Last week, in a panic, everyone gathered resources. Who bought on the market, who contracted the volumes that should come in. And the producers cannot wait for the market to dry up, so they are forced to lower prices.” – noted one of the bidders.
