“My dear fellow citizens. In this time of great uncertainty, when the world is facing its greatest challenges, I will address you tonight at 8:00 p.m.,” Macron said.
His address will take place on the eve of the EU summit, where support for Ukraine and strengthening of the EU’s defense capabilities will be discussed. The day before, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, presented the ReArm Europe program, which can mobilize up to 800 billion euros for defense. At the same time, the EU is preparing that a pro-Russian group of EU leaders may disrupt key decisions of the summit.
We will remind that on March 5, negotiations between the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán and the President of France Emmanuel Macron are scheduled in Paris.
