MES launches anonymous service for quick reporting of bullying in schools: how it works

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has taken an important step in the fight against bullying in schools by launching a new online platform for quick and anonymous reporting of cases of bullying. This innovation aims to create a safer environment for children and help stop bullying in its early stages.
According to the Ministry of Education and Culture, more than 53% of students have experienced bullying at least once, but many are afraid to report it due to fear of consequences or condemnation from classmates. That is why the new function allows students or their parents to submit complaints anonymously or with identification of personal data through the AIKOM portal.
The process of submitting a complaint is as simple as possible: you need to go to portal, fill out a short questionnaire, specify or not specify personal information and send a complaint. The school director must respond to the appeal within 24 hours.
This tool allows children to protect their rights while ensuring privacy and security. In cases where the assistance of the police is required, it is recommended to enter personal details to facilitate the investigation. If the situation requires a comprehensive approach, social workers and law enforcement agencies may be involved in the review.
The Ministry of Education and Culture guarantees the confidentiality of all applications, and applicants’ data will not be disclosed without their consent, which makes this tool attractive to children who fear retaliation from abusers.
