NAKC has to check more than 2 million declarations and 22 thousand reports of political parties, despite the lack of resources
The National Anti-Corruption Agency faces serious challenges due to lack of resources to carry out its key functions.
This was stated by the head of the NAZK Victor Pavluschyk at the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine (URC2024) in Berlin.
According to him, the agency needs to check about 2 million declarations of various types, more than 22 thousand reports of political parties and conduct thousands of special checks. This is a huge amount of work that requires significant human and technical resources.
“We need to deal with about 2 million declarations in three different types, we need to check according to logical, arithmetic control, from the position of risk assessment. – said Pavluschyk.
He also noted that NAKC has to verify more than 22,000 reports on political parties over 3.5 years, which is another challenge for the agency.
Despite these difficulties, NAKC hopes for the support of international partners and promises to make maximum efforts to fulfill its tasks.
“We will do everything we can to optimize our work“, – assured the head of NAZK.
