New categories of military personnel will appear in Ukraine – officers, sergeants and soldiers, who will specialize in social support of military personnel, the wounded and members of their families. The relevant initiative was presented to the Ministry of Defense, informs Deputy Minister of Defense, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk.
New positions are introduced in military units, battalions and hospitals. We are talking about specialists who will be engaged in social support.
“We are now launching a new training program for this category of servicemen so that they can correctly and clearly convey information to the family members of our servicemen so that they can work with our wounded and also work with servicemen who have a lot of questions.” – explained Melnyk.
According to him, the training program includes the study of military law, as well as preparation for working with the wounded and prisoners of war.
“Also, I tasked the General Staff to develop criteria so that these positions can be filled by civilians who may wish to enlist through the recruiting center for military service and occupy these positions.” – added the Deputy Minister of Defense.
