On December 21, TruCAM devices for controlling the speed of vehicles will start working on 51 new sections of roads in Ukraine. About this informs National Police.
These devices will be used together with cameras for automatic recording of violations, which allows for more effective control of the speed regime.
In total, TruCAM devices will work on 346 sections of the country’s highways. In the regions where active hostilities continue, in particular in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, speed control using these devices is temporarily not carried out. In the Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions, control is carried out only on certain sections of roads.
We would like to remind that the system of photo and video recording of violations of traffic rules in Ukraine began to operate on October 8, 2018. TruCAMs are installed in high-risk areas and on dangerous sections of international routes. The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed to direct funds received from fines for traffic violations to the development of video recording systems.
