Night drone attack in Odesa region: 9 wounded, one killed

The number of people injured in a nighttime drone attack in Odesa region on 8 November has risen to nine, with one person killed. SES psychologists provided support to 15 people, including a child and a pregnant woman. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Odesa region.
The rescuers, together with other services, eliminated the consequences of the strike. According to the information, residential buildings in the private sector were damaged, and fires broke out in two of them.
‘Rescuers also extinguished fires in warehouses and burning cars at one of the enterprises. The building of an educational institution was damaged. The pyrotechnic unit of the State Emergency Service inspected the areas for explosives,’ the statement said.
As of 4:24 a.m., one person was reported dead and nine injured, eight of whom were wounded, and a 91-year-old woman suffered severe stress. Six people were hospitalised, the rest were treated on the spot.

The air alert in Odesa region lasted almost three hours, from 22:09 to 00:48. At around 22:46, explosions began to be heard in Odesa. The air force warned of Russian drones approaching the region and then the regional centre, urging the population to be prepared for air defence.
As a result of the Russian attack, private houses, the city’s historic school (Lyceum No. 125), cars and warehouses were damaged in and around Odesa.
