The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded reservations for mobile operators and Internet providers
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved changes to the procedure for booking conscripted employees of mobile operators and Internet providers. Now, telecommunications service providers will be able to expand the number of reserved workers, informs press service of the Ministry of Economy.
“Employees of telecommunication service providers who are engaged in the construction of networks resistant to power outages using xPON technology or who are building energy-resilient networks on highways and national roads are subject to booking”, – the message says.
The new rules allow operators to maintain the stability of mobile communications and the Internet, especially during power outages. This requires the Ministry of Digital Transformation to recognize the enterprise as critical, and its manager to include employees in the appropriate teams.
“The process of booking construction crews will go through Diya – similarly to the booking of emergency recovery services. The Ministry of Digital will be responsible for forming a list of such enterprises and is currently working out the criteria for their inclusion.” – the Ministry of Economy explained.
