‘Okhmatdyt launches tender for restoration of building after Russian missile attack

Children’s specialized hospital “Okhmatdyt” announced a tender for the implementation of emergency works in the diagnostic building, which suffered significant damage as a result of the Russian missile strike that occurred on July 8, 2024 in Kyiv. The total expected cost of the works is more than 9.5 million hryvnias.
According to Oleksandr Urin, Acting General Director of “Okhmatdyt”, the main goal of emergency works is to protect the building during the winter period. He emphasized that these measures are absolutely necessary to ensure uninterrupted operation of the hospital, as medical care continues to be provided in the damaged building.
“During the rocket attack, the windows, doors and partially the engineering networks of the building were completely destroyed. Our task is to carry out the necessary work so that the building is ready for winter and can function without a threat to patients and staff.” said Urin.
The tender was announced on the “Prozzoro” platform, and the financing of the project is provided by the charitable foundation “Tabletochki”. The expected purchase amount is UAH 9.5 million including VAT. This amount was determined on the basis of a technical report, a defective act and an expert assessment, Vyacheslav Bykov, executive director of the fund and a member of the Okhmatdyt Restoration Council, said.
“The procurement process is completely transparent and meets all standards. We also provide financing through a charity fund, which allows us to speed up the process and save public money”, – added Bykov.
Although the exact time frame for the completion of the tender is unknown, the hospital hopes that the emergency works will be completed by November 15.
