The Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, which was damaged by a Russian missile strike on July 8, will not be repaired until the end of this year. About this informs publication “Our money”.
It is noted that on September 30, 2024, the hospital announced simplified tenders for carrying out emergency works worth UAH 9.51 million and their technical supervision, which will cost UAH 132,000.
Tender offers will be accepted until October 9-10, and the financing of works and technical supervision will be carried out with the funds of the “Tabletochki” charity fund. Works related to the protection of the building from external influences should be completed by November 15.
Acting Okhmatdyt CEO Oleksandr Urin noted that as part of emergency measures, it is necessary to close window and door openings damaged during the rocket attack, restore engineering networks, and also prepare the building for winter in order to continue providing medical care.
The Ministry of Health reported that the first stage of the instrumental examination has been completed, and this allows the start of emergency emergency work. The hospital received the technical reports, cost documentation and expert assessment necessary for the implementation of these works.
Scandal with the “Okhmatdytu” charity fund
The director of the “Okhmatdyt” hospital, Volodymyr Zhovnir, said that the “Okhmatdyt — healthy childhood” charitable foundation does not plan to transfer to the hospital’s account 378 million hryvnias, which were collected after the July 8 rocket attack.
In response, the charitable organization reported that on August 15, a general meeting of fund participants was held, at which this issue was discussed. The representatives of the foundation said that they are ready to pay for any urgent needs of the hospital, including the purchase of medical equipment or the restoration of damaged buildings. At the same time, they emphasized that during all this time they have not received a single request from the hospital with specific target needs.
