Orban complained about “open and crude threats from Ukrainians”

Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban stated about “open and rude threats from Ukrainians”. According to him, these statements were blackmail in nature. About this informs Hungarian Nation.
“Ukrainians do not recognize the right of the people of Hungary to make a decision on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. Moreover, they will not make a negative decision, so they threaten, blackmail and attack us.” Orban said.
In addition, the Hungarian Prime Minister emphasized that Ukrainians should be grateful to Hungary. In particular, he recalled that Ukrainian refugees were allowed to leave through the territory of his country.
“We allowed them to use all public services in Hungary, provided them with assistance, cured their soldiers, and educate their children.” – emphasized Orban.
The Prime Minister of Hungary also stated that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, should thank the Hungarians and show them respect instead of threats and blackmail.
It will be recalled that Budapest accuses Kyiv of oppressing the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia, refuses to provide military aid, blocks joint EU decisions on supporting Ukraine and opposes its accession to the European Union. In an interview with the Hungarian publication Válasz Online, Zelenskyi stated, that Orbán is using Ukraine for his own political purposes, not realizing that this could lead to the radicalization of Hungarian society.
At the same time, the president noted that Orbán’s anti-Ukrainian and anti-European position does not reflect the opinion of the whole of Hungary. Zelenskyi also said that the Hungarian National Security Service showed interest in the location of Ukrainian air defense systems and military units. In addition, she studied the attitudes of Transcarpathians regarding the possible presence of Hungarian peacekeepers in this territory.
