Pakistan accuses India of school bus attack

Pakistan accused India of organizing a suicide attack on a school bus. In response, India’s Ministry of External Affairs called these accusations baseless. About this informs The Guardian.

The attack took place in the morning of May 21 in the province of Baluchistan in the southwest of Pakistan. As a result of the explosion, five people died, including three children, a driver and a security guard. Several dozen children were injured.

The bus was transporting students to school in the city of Khuzdar. According to local authorities, the attacker crashed into a vehicle with a car and then detonated the explosives. Neither militant group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Pakistani military’s media unit quickly released a statement claiming that India “planned and orchestrated” the attack. The Indian Foreign Ministry categorically rejected such claims.

“India rejects Pakistan’s baseless claims of involvement in Khuzdar incident”, – said the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement also highlighted that Pakistan has been systematically blaming India for all its internal woes. At the same time, the Ministry expressed condolences for the loss of life as a result of the tragedy.

It will be recalled that the aggravation of relations between Pakistan and India increased on April 22 after an attack on a tourist group in Kashmir, as a result of which 26 people died. India has blamed Pakistan for the attack and has retaliated accordingly.

Pakistan’s defense minister denied any involvement of his country in the April 22 incident and called for an international investigation. In the evening of May 6, India struck Pakistan as part of Operation Sindoor. In response, Pakistan launched a missile attack.
