Parliament supported the extension of the deadline for passing the military medical examination for “limited fitness”

On February 12, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted draft law No. 12457, which extends the term of passing the military medical commission for persons with the status of “limited fitness” for four months. 313 people’s deputies voted for this decision, informs People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
According to the adopted law, citizens of Ukraine between the ages of 25 and 60, who were previously recognized as “limited fit” for military service (with the exception of persons with a disability established in accordance with the established procedure), from the moment this document enters into force, are required to undergo a repeat medical examination until June 5, 2025 to determine their fitness for service.
Such persons do not need to wait for a summons to pass the repeated commission. In the comparative table of the draft law, it is stated that citizens should apply to the TCC and SP independently or through the electronic account of a conscript, conscript or reservist in “Reserve+” in order to receive a referral to the VLC for a medical examination.
We will remind that as of February 3, only 20-27% of those who had to do it by February 5 – the previous deadline set before the adoption of the draft law – passed the repeated military medical commission.
