People’s Deputy Viktoria Hryb, together with other deputies, supported sending military commissars to the front

Non-factional People’s Deputy Viktoriya Hryb believes that the TCC should conduct an inspection and send healthy employees of the Military Committees to the front.
“If veterans who were wounded and have the status of UBD really serve there, then it is justified. But if healthy people work there, why aren’t they on the front lines? I have such questions, and I am sure that society also asks them“, said the People’s Deputy.
The issue of sending employees of territorial procurement centers (TCC) to the front is gaining momentum again within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada. This topic has caused quite a public outcry, and it is not the first time that people’s deputies have made suggestions regarding the involvement of TCC employees in hostilities. Such an initiative arises against the background of criticism of their work and the issue of fair distribution of duties in wartime. Similar statements have been heard before, but this time they are supported by even more parliamentarians, which only strengthens the demand for changes and the implementation of real solutions.
The Ministry of Defense reacted to the proposal of deputies to dissolve the TCC. The spokesman of the department, Dmytro Lazutkin, noted that 36,000 people work in the military commissariats, including servicemen fit for service.
“Currently, 36,000 people work in the TCC, among which almost 7,000 are civilians. Also, among the military there are a lot of people of limited fitness. There are about 3 thousand women“, Lazutkin said on the air of the telethon.
It should be noted that the status of “limited suitability” was canceled back in April this year, which means that the division into “suitable” and “unsuitable” for military service is now more unambiguous. Therefore, we are probably talking about those employees of the military commissariats who can perform duties in the rear positions, providing support for combat operations, but are not assigned to front-line service due to certain restrictions.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Dmytro Lazutkin additionally noted that the TCC currently employs about 26,000 men who are military personnel. Among them there is a part that is recognized as fully fit for service, but the exact numbers of those who can be sent to perform combat missions have not yet been specified. This issue is currently under consideration, which arouses interest both among deputies and in society regarding the possibility of reevaluating the role and involvement of military personnel of the TCC in active service.
