Persons diagnosed with disability after February 24, 2022 will undergo repeated medical examinations

According to the new law No. 10449, from May 16, 2024, men in Ukraine who received group I and II disabilities from February 24, 2022, will undergo repeated medical and social expert commissions (MSEK).
About repeated checks of people with disabilities reported lawyer Volodymyr Krekotnia.
Krekotnya emphasized that men who received MSEK certificates between February 24, 2022 and May 16, 2024, will be checked. We are talking about type I and type II disability. The inspection will be organized jointly with Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
“At the request of the President, the Cabinet of Ministers, together with law enforcement agencies, will conduct a total review of the validity of the decisions of the MSEC regarding the appointment for the first time of the II and III groups of disabilities to all men aged 25 to 50 who received the corresponding group between February 24, 2022 and May 16, 2024.“, – said the specialist.
Who is not subject to inspection:
- People who have no limbs.
- Disabled since childhood.
- People who have a disability due to:
Diseases, wounds, injuries, contusions, mutilations received during the defense of the Motherland.
Absence of limbs, hands (hands), feet (feet), one of the paired organs. - Oncological disease.
- Intellectual disabilities or mental disorders, cerebral palsy or other paralytic syndromes.
How the inspection will be carried out:
- Inspections are organized by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine together with law enforcement agencies.
- Currently, the detailed inspection regulations have not been approved.
- It is expected that people with disabilities will be called to the MSEK by subpoenas.
Consequences of not showing up for the inspection:
The lawyer also explained that currently no regulations have been approved as to how the re-inspections will take place. Neither the law nor the decision of the National Security and Defense Council requires people with disabilities to undergo a re-examination on their own.
