American blogger and podcaster Lex Friedman, who previously recorded an interview with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, stated about the intention to visit Russia to conduct an interview with the leader of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
Friedman recalled that he had previously communicated with Zelensky and expressed his desire to travel to Russia to meet with Putin.
“I am aware of the risks, I accept the risks. And my goal is simply to achieve peace, to make my small contribution to the achievement of peace”, he noted.
Previously, the blogger criticized Zelenskyi for his remarks against Putin, calling them “rather rude” and those that, in his opinion, do not contribute to the achievement of a peace agreement.
Friedman also mentioned Zelensky’s statement, where he claimed that Putin does not love his people, and repeated his opinion that in order to achieve peace, the Ukrainian president should “show more respect” for the leader of the Russian Federation.
