Trump called on Russia to conclude a deal to end the war in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump urged Russia to conclude an agreement to end the war in Ukraine, threatening that in case of refusal, additional sanctions and increased tariffs will be introduced.
Trump noted that he “has no intention of harming Russia”, expressed sympathy for the Russian people and recalled his “good relationship with Putin”. He also recalled Russia’s role in World War II, noting that the country lost about 60 million people.
“With all that said, I’m going to do Russia, whose economy is collapsing, and Putin a very big favor. Come to an agreement now and end this senseless war! It’s only going to get worse!”, – emphasized Trump.
The US president stressed that if an agreement to end the war is not reached “in the near future”, he will be forced to impose tough sanctions, high taxes and tariffs on all goods that Russia exports to the US and other countries.
“Let’s end this war that would never have started if I were president! We can do it the easy way or the hard way – and the easy way is always better. It’s time to make a deal. No more lives must be lost!!!” – concluded Donald Trump.
