Putin announced the possibility of dialogue with Trump to end the war in Ukraine

For information Reuters agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to discuss a cease-fire agreement in Ukraine with US President-elect Donald Trump. However, he rules out any significant territorial concessions and insists on Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO. This was reported by Reuters, citing five sources familiar with the Kremlin’s position.

According to several current and former Russian officials, the Kremlin may consider freezing the conflict along the front line. Some sources note that negotiations on detailed demarcation within Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions are possible.

Two Russian officials also said that Russia could agree to the withdrawal of its troops from small areas of territory in the Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions. At the same time, the Kremlin can demand a number of concessions from Ukraine, such as limiting the size of the Armed Forces and guaranteeing the free use of the Russian language.

According to Reuters, Putin stressed that any agreement must take into account “realities” on the ground, but expressed concern about a short-term truce that would allow the West to rearm Ukraine.
