President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his evening address stated, that Vladimir Putin is not preparing for negotiations, but on the contrary – for further waging war, and not only against Ukraine.
The President noted that on February 8, the new head of the NATO Military Committee, Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, visited Ukraine, with whom they discussed preparations for the next meeting in the Rammstein format.
According to Zelenskyi, the Russian Federation is currently increasing the number of its troops, adding more than 100,000 soldiers, creating new military units and developing defense production.
“Putin is not in the mood for negotiations or achieving peace, but is preparing for a further war that may go beyond the borders of Ukraine.” – emphasized the president.
He also emphasized that partner countries should strengthen defense capabilities, as defense spending, in particular at the level of 5% of GDP, will remain an important issue on the international agenda.
