Putin’s aide says Moldova may cease to exist

Vladimir Putin’s aide Mykola Patrushev said that Chisinau’s “anti-Russian policy” could lead to Moldova either becoming part of another state or ceasing to exist. About this informs NewsMaker.
According to Patrushev, Chisinau is to blame for the energy crisis in Moldova. The assistant to the head of the Kremlin called on the Moldovan authorities “not to deceive themselves or their people”, but to “admit their mistakes and start correcting the situation”.
“I do not rule out that Chisinau’s aggressive anti-Russian policy will lead to the fact that Moldova will either become part of another state, or will cease to exist altogether.”, – he noted.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova condemned Patrushev’s statement, stating that it is aimed at destabilization in the region:
“Such statements are an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of our country and are aimed at destabilizing the region. Moldova is a sovereign state that firmly follows the path of democracy and European integration, in accordance with the will of its citizens.”
