Registration for modular granaries begins in Ukraine

On the initiative of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, together with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), registration for obtaining modular grain warehouses with a capacity of 1,000 tons has begun. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Farmers who want to join the program can apply through the State Agrarian Register (DAR) until March 19, 2025. Within the framework of this initiative, FAO will transfer 615 modular granaries to agricultural producers who cultivate land in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

Each selected participant will receive one granary for their farm, which will allow them to safely store their crops for later use or sale. In total, the program will ensure the storage of more than 600,000 tons of grain.

To participate in the program, farmers must cultivate from 200 to 1,000 hectares of officially registered land that is actively used for agricultural production. The provided granaries will help farmers to preserve the harvested crop, reduce the shortage of storage facilities and minimize post-harvest losses.

After consideration of all applications, selected participants will receive confirmation through DAR and will be informed of the time and place of receipt of assistance.
