Military-technological sport officially recognized in Ukraine

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine officially recognized military-technological sports as a new non-Olympic type of competition. The corresponding order No. 1105 includes it in the Register of recognized sports, informs press service of the department.

“Military-technological sports unite competitions in four directions: air, land, water and cyberspace. Participants will compete in the control of drones and ground-based robotic complexes in the disciplines: racing, interception, reconnaissance, remote defeat, combined missions. Currently, the Federation of Military-Technological Sports of Ukraine is already working, which will develop this sport.” – says the message.

Young engineers, programmers, drone operators and analysts will have the opportunity to improve their skills in a sports environment, while technical students will be able to gain practical experience working with innovative technologies.

This decision also opens up prospects for veterans, who can apply their skills in a new field — to teach young people, participate in competitions and test the latest technologies. It is also planned to integrate military-technological sports into the educational programs of technical universities and military educational institutions.
