“Returning Home” event to be held in Warsaw to support Ukrainian prisoners of war

In Warsaw, on October 5, the action “Returning Home” will be held, aimed at supporting Ukrainian prisoners of war. It will become part of an international initiative that will unite protests in different cities and countries at the same time.

As reported by the PAP agency, the initiators of this action were the Polish-Ukrainian initiative Wspólnie PoMoc (Together for My Town) and the All-Ukrainian public organization “Women’s Territory”. The event will start at 17:00 near the Cinematheque in the Palace of Culture and Science in the center of Warsaw.

The main goal of the campaign is to draw attention to the harsh conditions in which Ukrainian prisoners of war are held in Russian prisons, as well as to support their families, who are waiting daily for the return of their loved ones.

The organizers emphasize that the protest is designed to emphasize the mass violations of the rights of thousands of Ukrainian prisoners who suffer from torture and terrible conditions of detention. The event is also aimed at reminding the world of Russia’s violation of international agreements and gross disregard for democratic values, in particular, the right to life and dignity.

The participants of the protest also seek to convey to the European community that peace and security in Europe largely depend on the Ukrainian military, who, sacrificing their lives, defend the world from Russian aggression.

During the action, the stories of the prisoners will be told. The organizers invite everyone who cares about the fate of Ukrainian prisoners of war to join the event.

The purpose of this protest is not only to support prisoners and their families, but also to unite Ukrainian communities around the world. The organizers want to start a tradition of simultaneous global protests that will help remind the world about Russian crimes and the importance of supporting Ukraine.

We remind you that the promotion will be held in two formats – offline and online, and Ukrainians from all over the world are invited to it.
