Russia must make concessions on security guarantees for Ukraine: Volz

US President’s National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said that within the framework of the negotiations on the end of the war, Russia should make concessions in terms of security guarantees for Ukraine. First of all, it is about the placement of European peacekeepers in Ukraine, informs CNN.
“I want to say that this war must end, and for that territorial concessions are needed. This will require concessions from Russia on security guarantees. For this, all parties need to sit down at the negotiating table. And we are working very hard to advance these negotiations.” – noted Volz.
According to him, this issue was already raised during the previous rounds of negotiations.
“These should be security guarantees led by Europe, this is a partial contribution of Europe to its own security.” – emphasized the adviser to the US president.
At the same time, he added that the issue of American security guarantees or their absence still needs further discussion.
