Russia offered Trump a deal on Russian natural resources

The Kremlin offered Donald Trump’s team a deal related to Russian natural resources. This is reported by rosZMI.
The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kyrylo Dmitriev, said that Russia is interested in joint projects with the USA in the Arctic. According to him, previously American oil companies worked successfully in Russia, but due to sanctions they lost about 300 billion dollars.
“We believe that at some point they will come back, because why would they refuse the opportunity to access Russian natural resources that Russia was giving them?” Dmitriev noted.
Before the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Exxon Mobil was the only major American company engaged in oil production in Russia. It owned 30% of the Sakhalin-1 project, but announced its withdrawal after the introduction of sanctions. However, the company failed to sell its share — the Kremlin extended the terms twice, the last time until the end of 2026.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the large American oil service companies “Halliburton”, “Schlumberger” and “BakerHughes” also announced their exit from the market. Thanks to their technological support, Russia was once able to resume oil production after the economic crisis that occurred at the end of the USSR.
