Russian drones attacked Kharkiv region: significant destruction in Izyum and Chuhuiv districts

On March 9, around midnight, Russian drones carried out a massive attack on the Kharkiv region, causing significant destruction in the settlements of the Izyum and Chuguyiv districts. About this informs State Service for Emergency Situations (DSNS).
In particular, in the city of Balaklia, two enemy drones hit the building of an educational institution. As a result of the attack, residential buildings, administrative buildings, a local hospital, a cafe, and parked cars were damaged. The impact caused a large-scale fire that covered an area of 50 square meters.
Another drone strike was recorded in the village of Kochetok, where the building of a children’s institution was damaged. The fire engulfed the structural elements of the building, but thanks to the prompt response of the rescuers, it was possible to prevent further spread of the flame.

According to the information of the State Emergency Service, all sources of ignition have been eliminated, and despite the large-scale destruction, there are no victims or victims.
Russian troops continue to attack the civilian infrastructure of the Kharkiv region, using attack drones. Ukrainian emergency response services are working at the affected areas, assessing the damage and helping local residents overcome the consequences of the attacks.
