The Cabinet of Ministers has decided on candidates for the supervisory board of Ukrenergo from the state
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the nominations of Yury Boyk, Anatoly Guley and Oleksiy Nikitin as representatives of the state to the supervisory board of PrJSC NEC Ukrenergo. This decision was adopted order Government No. 1232
Yuriy Boyko, who was previously a member of the supervisory board of Ukrenergo, also performs the duties of an adviser to the Prime Minister on energy issues. Anatoly Guley heads the board of the Ukrainian Interbank Currency Exchange PJSC. Oleksiy Nikitin previously worked as a director of commerce at Ukrhydroenergo PJSC and in the electricity market development department of Ukrenergo.
In September, the supervisory board of Ukrenergo fired the chairman of the board, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, which caused criticism from international partners. This decision was adopted by the votes of three representatives of the state (Yuriy Boyko, Yuriy Tokarskyi, Oleksandr Baraniuk) and one independent member (Roman Pionkovski). While two other independent board members, Peder Andreasen and Daniel Dobbeny, voted against.
The Ministry of Energy announced the selection of candidates for three positions of independent members of the Supervisory Board. In the end, the government agreed to four candidates: Patrick Greichen, who worked at the Federal Ministry of the Environment of Germany, Luigi de Francischi, a former top manager of the Italian company Terna, Jeppe Kofoda, an ex-Member of the European Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, and Jan Montella, a former head board of directors of Nord Pool AS.
