Russian Federation attacks Kyiv with drones: a business centre, a high-rise building and a medical facility are on fire, there are victims (photos)

On the night of Thursday, 7 November, Russian troops again attacked Kyiv with Shahed attack drones. Air defence forces were deployed in the capital and its suburbs, but the falling debris from the downed drones caused fires in several parts of the city: garages, service stations, a multi-storey building, a business centre and a medical facility caught fire, and one person was injured.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, via Telegram. According to him, emergency services were forced to extinguish fires in five districts of the capital.
Around 2 a.m., Popko said that the strike in the Holosiivskyi district damaged an apartment in a multi-storey building, and the blast wave broke windows. One person sought medical assistance. In the same area, a large fire broke out on the territory of garages and service stations with an area of about 200 square metres.

After 05:00 Kyiv was shaken by loud explosions again. In the Pechersk district, drone fragments fell on an apartment building, causing smoke and fire. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the fall of the drone debris caused a fire on the 33rd technical floor of the building. Residents were evacuated, and several buses were organised for this purpose. So far, there have been no calls for medical assistance.
According to the KCMA, the fire covered an area of 50 square metres in a restaurant on the 33rd floor of the residential building, partially destroying the structures of the technical floor above.
After 06:00, the mayor of Kyiv reported on the aftermath of the attack in Solomianskyi district: the drone debris fell into the yard of a private house, causing a fire in an open area. At another location, a non-residential building was on fire.

In Obolonskyi district, drone debris caused a fire on the roof of a six-storey business centre over an area of 10 square metres, with no casualties reported. In Solomianskyi district, the debris fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise, where one person was injured, and a fire broke out in a 600 sq m warehouse building. A fire also broke out in a private medical facility, which was evacuated, with no casualties.
In Podil district, a fire engulfed a two-storey private house. Rescuers reported extinguishing a 50 sq m fire on the 33rd floor of the residential building, which led to partial destruction of structures on the technical floor above. A total of 47 rescuers and 16 pieces of equipment were employed at the scene.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the approach of the Shahedis to Kyiv at around 02:00, when a group of enemy drones was moving towards the capital from the north. The Kyiv regional military administration also reported the operation of air defence in the region.
