The Russian Federation struck Kharkiv for the second time in a day – at 4:54 p.m., powerful explosions rang out in the city. According to Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, a total of four guided aerial bombs were released, all of which hit open areas. Prior to this, the Air Force reported the threat of guided aerial bombs approaching the city.
Russian troops struck the Saltiv district of Kharkiv, causing casualties among civilians. According to the preliminary data of the mayor Igor Terekhov, an aerial bomb hit a high-rise building in the Kyiv district.
Later it became known about two dead people – a civilian man and a woman who were on the street. It is also known about several wounded. This information was confirmed by Oleg Sinegubov. Rescue services are on site.
The head of the police of the Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Tymoshko, said that the strike hit the green zone between residential buildings, where people died. The territory is surrounded, residents are being evacuated.
Also, on October 8, the Russian army struck the Industrial District of Kharkiv. Civilian production was damaged, a fire broke out, 21 people were injured.
