Russian troops have advanced in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, and continue to shell Kharkiv

DeepState informs about the next advance of Russian troops on the eastern front. According to the updated data of the battle map, the enemy achieved tactical success in several directions at once – both in Kharkiv Oblast and in the territory of Donetsk Oblast.

In particular, in the Kharkiv region, the advance of Russian units is recorded in the area of Vovchansky Khutori, a village located not far from the administrative center of Vovchansk community of Chuguyiv district. The enemy continues to try to deepen its control along the northeastern border, trying to use tactical windows to advance deep into the territory, which has been under fire control for a long time and regularly comes under artillery fire.

In Donetsk region, according to DeepState, changes in the front line have been recorded near Yablunivka and Horikhovo. Both locations are located in the zone of active combat, where the enemy has been trying to break through Ukrainian defenses for a long time. Although these settlements are not large population centers, control over them provides a tactical advantage in mountainous terrain and can provide access to logistics routes and strongholds of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Changes to the DeepState map are consistent with the official information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, in his evening summary for July 26, it was stated that 122 combat clashes took place on the front during the day, of which 55 occurred in the Pokrovsky direction – one of the hottest sectors in recent weeks. It is this direction that is key in the context of the defense of Donetsk region, as the enemy is constantly trying to reach the operational depth of the Ukrainian defense, using assault groups and air support.

Thus, the operational situation in the eastern direction remains tense. The Russian command does not reduce the intensity of offensive actions, while simultaneously trying to put pressure on several areas of the front. Despite local tactical shifts, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy, particularly in manpower and equipment.

At the same time, the Russian Federation does not stop attacking Kharkiv. On the night of July 27, the city was hit by another UAV attack — it was the third night shelling in a row. By information city mayor Ihor Terekhov, this time the strikes were recorded in the Kyiv district and in a nearby suburb near the Shevchenkiv district.

The day before, on July 26, during three hours of the night, the enemy launched more than 20 strikes, including four guided aerial bombs, two ballistic missiles and fifteen Shahed attack drones. As a result of the shelling, six people were injured, including four rescuers. Residential high-rise buildings, civil enterprise, road surface and contact network were also damaged.
